On the morning of May 20, 2024, the successful first hoisting of the large coil rolling mill's steel structure took place at a vibrant construction site adorned with colorful flags and high spirits. This achievement signifies that another critical phase of the project has entered the main steel construction stage. This landmark progress reinforces the steady advancement toward the goal of completing and commissioning the project as scheduled.

  The ceremony was attended and witnessed by distinguished guests, including: Gao Kaiying, Deputy Party Secretary and County Mayor of Wei County; Sun Shuguang, Standing Committee Member of Wei County Party Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department; Zhao Zhongxiang, Deputy Party Secretary of the High-Tech Zone Management Committee and Executive Deputy Director; Xu Xuehui, Deputy Leader of the Xingtai Municipal Party Committee Supervision Team and Deputy Director of the Industry and Information Technology Bureau; Zhang Yuming, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of Xingtai Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.; Peng Shidan, General Manager of Xingtai Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.; Vice General Managers Ma Baoliang, Han Qinglian, and Liu Wanchao; Jiang Haibo, Project Manager of China MCC5 Group Corp., Ltd., the general contractor.

  As a key provincial-level project in Hebei and a major industrial initiative in Xingtai, the relocation project has received significant attention from municipal authorities. Spanning 3,217 acres, the project comprises three main sections—ironmaking, steelmaking, and rolling—with an annual production capacity of 1.65 million tons of iron, 2.25 million tons of crude steel, and 2.13 million tons of finished steel products upon completion.

 

 

  

  Currently, nearly 2,000 workers from 11 construction teams, including Xingtai Steel and China MCC5, are actively engaged on-site, with numbers expected to exceed 3,000 during peak construction periods.
